Three years ago (where did time go?!) I lost my LJ Friending Meme Host virginity. That first time was so successful and satisfying that I haven't attempted a second yet but, talking to [livejournal.com profile] falena84 and lamenting the good ol' days of LJ as we recurrently do, I thought 'why not again?'. Because my inbox will explode. Because you're a responsible adult with a busy job and less time for this internet stuff. These are just two of the reasons I chose to ignore, so here we are again ladies and gentlemen. So, I quote [livejournal.com profile] falena84 with thanks because she's a lot better at this than me:

Friending Meme for LJ Survivors - 2015 Re-edition

You know the drill. Do it. Share it. It only works if you share it, because I have a small flist and you mostly know each other. So, please spread the word even if you don't want to take part yourself. Tell your mum, your grandpa, your neighbours, your friends and their dogs. GO!!

Here's a link for sharing:

EDIT: I've turned off email notifications for this (for obvious reasons as there are currently almost 3000 comments...), but I come back and check my thread every now and then. If there's anything else you need my attention for (ie. comments marked as spam) I'm afraid you'll have to message me or I might not see it!

While i probably won't share in my own LJ, as I know the answers to this for at least 85% of my active flist, here are my answers for you, since you and I are still new friends:

Name:
Even my mother calls me Stax

Age:
44
Location:
Seattle-ish. I move around the region sometimes but i am always in the general vicinity. The place i live now is outside the city limits of Seattle itself, but is the next city to the north.

What do you do:
fight to get onto disability. But I also: write, make vivid color bath salts and balms, make jewelry, do photography draw & paint, an do proofreading & editing for my friends.

Hobbies/interests/likes:
I'm a hedgewitch, and make potions (for good, potions for ill are difficult to administer to those who need them most). I was groomed to be a paster in a protestant/pentacostle church, and was a biblical scholar. I also studied psychology for about 20 years, but am a little out of date on the most current terminology right now. I have too many hobbies and interests to list here, honestly - LJ has a character limit. But the over view is I like animation, puppets, music, pretty much any art form, comics, gaming, reading, religions. I like a lot of things..

What can we find in your journal:
depends on what is up in my life really. When things are difficult or stressful, you are likely to find me talking about that or things that happened that day. When things are not so hard, I might post photos or art. I post poetry when I write it. Sometimes I promote things my friends are doing, or things I am doing. Sometimes I talk about things that are happening in my area, in the world, in our communities, or in general. Sometimes I make informative posts about a thing that might be interesting to others. My LJ is a hodgepodge of things in my head.

What do you look for and NOT look for in other people's journal:
the same things I look for and not look for in people. Honesty, whimsy, creativity, hope, passion. I don't expect people with whom I am not close to feel comfortable sharing their vulnerability with me, but I am honored and respectful if they do. Don't get me wrong, I also totally respect a dedicated journal that someone uses to specifically post rants, or writing, or farce. Just so long as I know that is what the lj is for, that's cool with me.

Pick a quote/film/book/song that says something about you:
My favorite quote is my own: It doesn't take a lot to be a hero for someone.
