I spent my lunch hour talking to people - Amica won't insure me out of hand [any moving violations w/i the last 3 years and you're deemed UNCLEAN! and no preferred-rate providers will touch you]. I talked to the nice people at the Allstate agency we share office space with, and she was able to give me a quote.

If you had military in your background you could try USAA. I used to have them and while it was very expensive, they gave rebates back at the end of the year. State Farm does good by me now - so I use them for all my insurance except the corp stuff.
