Since it's going around, kind of like cooties:

Ask me 3 questions, no more no less. Ask me anything you want. Really. I'll answer anything. Then I want you to go to your journal, copy and paste this allowing your friends (including myself) to ask you anything.

Just for personal amusement, this is open to everyone. Have fun.

[besides, it'll give me something to muse on while I get my oil changed - Happy Birthday Zim! My little car was a year old on Saturday, and just passed 7700 miles.]

I'm going to refrain from answering the first three on the grounds that you're cruising for an ass-kicking, kiddo. *laugh* the others will have to wait until after the oil change.

1. Whats your favorite place to be?
- In the company of good friends.

2. What makes you happy?
- Freedom.

3. Whats your most memorable moment?
- *draws a complete blank*

1. what's the most potent drink you've ever had?
- Other than straight Everclear, Absinthe, or 151? I think the "let the rookies mix it" Sprite-and-Everclear nastiness at C6 ranks way up there. *shudder*

2. what is your favorite temperature?
- 73F (24C for you metric freaks)

3. ocean or mountains?
- Ocean, no question. It moves, it changes, and you can splash around. Also, beach babes. ;-)

Okay, this is fun...

1 -- What's your favorite thing to do with a solitary Saturday night? (note: this means you're *completely alone*...no phone calls :) )
2 -- If you could go back to school and study anything (and be guaranteed employment in that field afterwards) what would you study and why?
3 -- What's your primary hobby (or 2, if you can't decide)?

1 -- What's your favorite thing to do with a solitary Saturday night? (note: this means you're *completely alone*...no phone calls :) )
- I'll assume you remove IM as well as phone convo, then, because otherwise, hanging out with digital drinking buddies is a pretty good time, or online gaming. Failing that, reading or playing a solo game of some sort.

2 -- If you could go back to school and study anything (and be guaranteed employment in that field afterwards) what would you study and why?
- Massage therapy & chiropractice, assuming I could pass on clients with nasty dermatological or gastrointenstinal disorders. I give a mean massage.

3 -- What's your primary hobby (or 2, if you can't decide)?
- Bitching, it seems. Ad hoc technical guruism. Video games.

1. How often do your emotions get the better of you?

2. When it comes to sex, you: (fill in blank here)

3. If you could create your dream home anywhere without regard for money, where would it be and describe it.

1. How often do your emotions get the better of you?
- Almost never. On occasion [like, say, RFN], I let a bad mood dictate policy, but as far as being emotional. . . not much at all.

2. When it comes to sex, you: (fill in blank here)
- . . . try to be pretty good at it.

3. If you could create your dream home anywhere without regard for money, where would it be and describe it.
- about 1700 square feet, two floor Cape Cod. Done in greys, inside and out [slate or granite kitchen, with the uber brushed steel appliances and a gas stove]. Whirlpool and regular bathtub, deep enough to get a good soak in. Plenty of trees, a stream, and privacy, but not in the fucking boonies. Fence would be rebar and busted concrete with dead monitors broadcasting static. Attached garage. Plenty of open space inside, but also plenty of doors. Furnished basement.

I love your fence.

1) If you had to be some fantasy race (elf, ogre, dwarf, etc.) and live in this world, which would you choose?

2) If you could switch lives with any of your friends (and you must pick one), whose life would you have instead?

3) What's your favorite small nicety?

You can't handle the fence! Oh, wait, wrong line. . .

1) If you had to be some fantasy race (elf, ogre, dwarf, etc.) and live in this world, which would you choose?
- Assuming that "vampire" is entirely too hackneyed? I'll opt for pseudo-obscure references for $800, Alex, and go with "Post-Interregnum Dragaeran." [googling this will be worthwhile and will give you a recommended series of books to read]

2) If you could switch lives with any of your friends (and you must pick one), whose life would you have instead?
- You, because you seem frighteningly With It, as well as being younger than I am, and apt to live longer. ;-)

3) What's your favorite small nicety?
- This may be a sad commentary, but I don't grok the question. As for those I "give," I would say that small tokens of appreciation [a candy, or note, or something]. . . as far as recieving, simple, honest thanks for an effort or contribution go a long way.

1. Who is your favorite author and why?
2. What is a subject you'd like to learn more about and why?
3. What would you consider a perfect evening as?

1. Who is your favorite author and why?
- I've been sharply disappointed by the latest offerings of Big Three that I'd nominally list here [s. king, n. stephenson, w. gibson]. However, king and gibson both wrote stuff that fundamentally changed my life.

2. What is a subject you'd like to learn more about and why?
- I'm pretty sure you meant academically, but I'm going to answer philosophically. I want to understand the human need for faith. . . and cure it.

3. What would you consider a perfect evening as?
- One that made the next morning start about 3pm with some pleasant soreness and the gradual realization as to why there was chocolate syrup on the shower curtains.

I discovered Becker (cultural anthropologist) a couple of summers ago, and I've become a bigtime fan of his theory.
