So, the subject of K's kickass opportunity in Co. Springs came up at the office today, as we were winding down from another hectic, thrill-packed day of me doing everything all at once.

R: She's really excited, there are some really great animals she might be getting to work with.
B: So I take it that if she goes out west, you will, too, huh?
R: Yup.
B: I guess we'd better start thinking about finding someone. . . and you'll need to write down all the stuff you do.

[Unbeknowenst to him, I've already got seven or eight pages' worth of outline for my day-to-day-routine, but I didn't have the heart to tell him that I think it's unlikely he's gonna find anyone who's PC-tech first, office manager second in terms of skillset for what I get paid.]

So, I'm going to try and wrap up some loose ends in addition to my regular duties, and polish off the "What I Am Expected To Know On A Daily Basis" document. . . and hope like hell that I can also score a kickass gig on Rocky Mountain High. . .

Heh. I started documenting all of my procedures about six months ago. They know I'm leaving, so they've fortunately started training off all my big responsibilities.

Unfortunately, I work in an office of, uh. . . three people [me, the boss, and one other guy]. . .

However, they're both wonderfully cowed by their wives, so, honestly, the first pretty girl who shows up and knows anything about networking PCs and is familiar with MS Office will have them wrapped around her finger in no time.

Fingers crossed and all that.

Colorado is a very cool state. I almost moved there a few years ago (didn't for purely personal reasons.)

You need to leave a few easter eggs in your documentation - weblinks that look like they might go to tech sites, but are in fact, your archived LJ posts about the job :D
