In other news, the main road in my part of town collapsed yesterday. That made for fun traffic, and a really warm 2 mile walk back to get pix.

Could be either. Bathroom is remodeled, so at least you'll have a place to pee. Usually if the bath and kitchen are liveable, that's the most important thing. Everything else can be done as you afford. And - damn - that is CHEAP for that area.

the caisson over one of the canals under DeGaulle buckled yesterday afternoon. they've got one lane reopened [road crews were working last night], and are working on getting the other one open.

i took a bunch of pictures of the shitty road that leads to my apartment, but they don't do justice to exactly how awful and heaved the pavement is.
