From the FedEx Tracking page:
Jul 1, 2004 - 11:41 am - Delivery attempt - NEW ORLEANS LA - Customer not available or Business closed

I call 'SHENANIGANS." You didn't even try, motherfucker.

At the precise moment of "delivery," I was actually filling out my mortgage application at our dining room table. [an aside here: "HOLY SHIT, I'm filling out a mortgage application!!"]

mpeace (11:04:26): just... hahaha, i like it
Rafe (11:07:53): hehehehe
Rafe (11:48:21): blerg
mpeace (11:48:27): awww
mpeace (11:48:31): where are yuo anyhow?
Rafe (11:48:51): my living room?
mpeace (11:49:06): just checking

I wouldn't be so antsy about a delivery snafu, but a) it's computer hardware for both K & my boxen (motherboards for both of us, courtesy of Mother Nature's Power Surges, and b) I'm getting on the road on Saturday after breakfast, and won't be able to get shit delivered.

Next up: coming to terms with the fact that I've put on weight around the middle (both good and bad), and that I own several pair of pants that I can never realistically expect to wear again. I will -not- be putting on Bob Seger, though I -will- be hopping around the apartment in my underwear. Y'all are welcome for that visual. ;-)

Do they usually try to deliver to the front office, and they're the ones who were closed, maybe?

nyet. i think the driver just took a flying fuck at it today because i was out of town all weekend until last night. so i called the central office, who called his ass to send him back out. my "leave the damn things here, i signed for 'em, jackass" tags are prominently hung on my doorknob, in case he shows up while i scamper to the post office. otherwise, i'll head out tomorrow morning with K, since the depot is near her office.

ah. blech. I finally just put a form on file with FedEx that said "if you ever have anything for me, you have authorization to just leave it on the doorstep." but of course, there were a few things that didn't even qualify for that treatment. *sigh*

Glad they're making him come back out.
