Just because we're motivated (and not demolishing large portions of the interior of our house), K got a start on painting our living room today - two coats in three hours (I helped with the second).
Process photos have today's date on 'em at http://www.digitaldiscipline.com/images/house/
Yes, the kitchen is Really That Yellow. But only for now. The living room and dining room/computer room (and maybe the guest bedroom/library) will be grey with violet, blue, and dark green accents. The living room set (dark sage microfiber couch, chair & loveseat; brushed-chrome lamps; and wrought iron & black granite end & coffee tables) will arrive on Thursday, so we hope to have a place to actually put things.

will you paint the exterior too, or just the interior?

I lust for your kitchen cabinets, though they need some nice pewter-tone pulls. Looks great - have fun!

after the paint, K says she spotted some nice metal tiles that will make a backsplash in the kitchen and will become the inlay on the fireplace, and maybe act as an accent on the front of the mantel, too.
note to self: find brushed metal outlet and switchplate covers

of course, i can't tell the difference between a bungalow and a craftsman. . . i can only say "yep, that's a cape cod" when i see one with any degree of certainty most of the time. *laugh*

Best wishes for settling in. Looks like K's doing a great job with the paint.
