I am in a fabulous fucking mood this morning.

Even having dreamed about [livejournal.com profile] smaugchow and [livejournal.com profile] axissilverhand and a nighttime road trip in southern Indiana where Axis waxed effusive about the interesting braking performance of a car-laden semi on a wet road, and I sought in vain for a bathroom at the Kwik-E-Mart we stopped at for provisions.

Even having further dreamed about participating in a doubtless FarCry-inspired "reality" show with UndeadJeeves, [livejournal.com profile] algernon, and Seth Green, wherein none of us could shoot for shit (much like opponents of the A Team), there was a waist-high topiary maze between the house and the garage, and one of the challenges was to get drunk but remain seated on a coffee table. I think Al and I looked at each other and laughed when we got told about that one.

Finally, I dreamt I was in a hotel room/love shaque with some minor-celebrity-of-the-dream, and was in the process of getting it on (pulling on a condom, putting on a Breathe-Rite strip (why, I don't know, but it hit my eyes with a static shock and a bright blue flash), and pausing just before consummation to criticize yon maiden for getting off on the idea of fanboy nookie. "Look, I don't mind if you get off on thinking you're fucking a fanboy, and I can certainly -act- like a fanboy, but the condescending attitude isn't sexy. You're getting fucked by -me.-" At which point, inconveniently, I woke up.

Kicking off the last week's worth of depression feels damn good, even if other folks are currently in a rough patch of their own. . . if nothing else, I'm in a better frame of mind to listen and help.

Weekend plans include Halloween (okay, year-round) decoration procurement, weatherstripping my ill-fitting kitchen door, maybe buying a couple of books, and hopefully riding this good mood back into productive writing territory. Unsure if we'll make it to the actual event [livejournal.com profile] baobh is in town for, but it would definitely be desirable to spend time with her, that lucky bastard she's currently amorous with, and the [livejournal.com profile] netgoth/[livejournal.com profile] critus Combo Pack (aka Gothopia Moon Base Bravo) if we can finagle doing so.

. . . and, yanno, maybe nail up plywood in case any hunkering is needed.

Heck, even pulling the trigger on a fantasy football trade felt good.

And, on a completely unrelated note: Free Bagels for breakfast. w000t.

Gah! Don't you read my LJ???

Heh

Jobsite is doing selected pieces from Eric Bogosian's Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll (http://www.jobsitetheater.org/sdandr.htm) for their annual fund raiser. The show is at 8PM on Saturday. Tickets are $25. [livejournal.com profile] netgoth, [livejournal.com profile] frith_lord and I will be there. It's going to be a hoot, and if I'm not mistaken the large majority of the proceeds go directly to Jobsite. Do it! Get culture!

There is a very real possibility that the hot tub will be back in action this weekend.

I have no idea where that was spawned from. . . the hotel room had the same bedside tables that our house does, and the condoms were in the same box, same drawer. . . but instead of just condoms, there were little baggies, with a condom, a breathe-rite strip, and a 1gm tube of lube in each, tied with a little ribbon, like an office treat or wedding reception doo-dad.

I've never worn one of these strips, actually. However, for something similar, that -will- cause the user to experience blue sparkly sensations, Listerine Strips applied to certain bits of the anatomy come very highly recommended. Duane will thank me for telling you. ;-)

You live this way too, eh? Last year for Halloween, people came to the front door and commented on how amazing it was that I'd done up the whole living room/dining room for the holiday (I'd lit the candles and turned off the incandescents). I was like... "Huh?" lol.

Just recently, decorating for my pirate party, I was again struck by the oddity of my decor. I needed skull for my pirate-beach buffet decoration, so I just picked up the one that's usually on the piano. lol.

Pink hair dye? Muffins? LEO Marrowfat Peas (http://www.livejournal.com/users/cavalorn/21267.html)?

You're going to have to post a summary of how they are recieved. . . or, if you're impatient, you can scoot away from your desk and experiment in the loo. Not that I'd encourage such behavior at the office, of course. . . *cough*

Ha...will let you know.

I like the pink....not real sadly.

You scared me there for a moment - thought Algernon had deleted his LJ.

Then I remembered it's [livejournal.com profile] algernon33.

I miss him. :(

But hopefully you, your lovely K, the lovely A. and we can all get together this weekend. I'm hoping at the Jobsite Performance. :)

With any luck, some hot tubbing may also be possible. *crosses fingers* We'll see how the repairs go.
