[yeah, again from [livejournal.com profile] sukipot, but at least i get my fix]

1. Name one song you hate to admit you like.
People cringe whenever I play anything by Max Raabe, or the half-speed version of Baby, One More Time by Britney Spears. I don't feel any particular embarassment about the amusement these provide me.

As for something that I'd be chagrined to be caught singing along with happily? Ummm. . . Living On A Prayer by Bon Jovi, or most anything off of New Jersey maybe.

2. Name two songs that always make you cry.
Some Kind of Stranger - Sisters of Mercy
Tomorrow Wendy - Concrete Blonde

I was a friggin mess the first time I heard these back-to-back on a mix tape my then-GF sent me.

3. Name three songs that turn you on.
I don't usually get turned on by music, but three songs that say "Baby, let's fuck" to me are:
Gyroscope - The Tea Party
Codeine, Glue, and You - Chemlab
Dope Show - Marilyn Manson

4. Name four songs that always make you feel good.
Centerfield - John Fogerty
Call Me Al - Paul Simon
Bad Touch - The Bloodhound Gang
My Friend Robert - George Thorogood & The Destroyers

5. Name five songs you couldn't ever do without.
Mortal - Front Line Assembly
Toccatta et Fugue in D Minor - J.S. Bach
Moonlight Sonata - L.V. Beethoven
Fade to Black - Metallica
Adagio for Strings - Samuel Barber

we've got one guy down with a kidney infection, K had two coworkers hurt while I was in vegas, and cubic metric assloads of work keep landing on me before i've shoveled any of the rest of it off.

this weekend, i am going to curl up with some beer, a good book (in this case, "Bloodsucking Fiends" by Christopher Moore) and geek the fuck out - moving my pc into a new (quieter, watercooled) case, and shlep a hodgepodge, hand-me-down box to a buddy in charlotte, in hopes of getting his sorry ass back online for some cooperative electronic blowing-shit-up.

oh yeah, sleep would be good at some point, too.
