So, the car insurance assrape of 2003, redux, has been finished. I renewed my NY state policy, since it was the lowest-cost option by a stupidly wide margin [35% less than a Louisiana policy with the same people, and a full 50% less than a LA policy by the next closest option - this latter one would effectively cost twice as much as I currently shell out].
