So, here's the scoop:
You'll be giving the money to me. I'll be paying Jolly Roger.
Rather than everyone handing me $40 as you walk up the gangplank, it would be far, FAR easier if all the interested parties PayPal me $40 BY MIDNIGHT ON NEW YEARS EVE. I can't stress this enough. I'm not going to be anywhere near a computer after breakfast on 1/1, so if you paypal the money at that point, I'll have no way of knowing. Get it done ahead of time.
The address I use for paypal is rafe@digitaldiscipline.com.
Make sure to include whatever name is going to be most recognizable, if you're not someone I know already. I don't need to give Jolly Roger a roster, just a headcount.
If, for whatever reason, PayPal is not an option for you, email me ASAP with both your intent to participate and we can work out an alternate payment option.
If/when we approach the limit of 50, I'll let everyone know, because that's a hard cutoff.
