Fabulous, marvelous, wonderful birthday getaway weekend with [livejournal.com profile] aishlynn.

After a lot of driving, a lot of walking, and a lot of pleasant company, ten hours of solid shuteye were very nearly what the doctor ordered (the unpleasant anxiety dream that disturbed me awake at 5:56 this morning, I could have done without, however).

Everyone who says traffic on I-4 sucks, you're absolutely right. Sensible engineering solutions involve lane reductions for a mile or two, moving along the length of the road being improved, not thirty-mile stretches of lane shifts, reductions, ad nauseam. Adding a half million motorcycle enthusiasts and a lumber truck losing its shit didn't do anything to improve matters.

[livejournal.com profile] thefeline is lovely, and gives singularly pleasurable hugs. ;-) She even shares a bit of irrationality with K (other than thinking I'm spiffy ;-).

Much good food, some good drink, and an absolutely great sojourn to the St. Augustine Wild Reserve (seriously, if you're in the area and have a couple of hours to devote to it, Karen, Nicci, and the handful of volunteers do a stellar job of caring for the animals, and they're happy and amazingly social).

Crashed hard after hanging at [livejournal.com profile] hel_ana's b-day bash. Mmmm. Meat.

Now, to get my ass back to the gym. . . . is it really only six weeks until C11?
