digitaldiscipline: (Get Off My Lawn!)
[livejournal.com profile] flemco caused me to pull an ab muscle with my mad, bitter laughter yesterday evening, by sharing this link.

No, it's not the blatant partisanship of the WND's stance, which is all well and good and First Amendment-y. It's the fact that Rep. Michell Bachmann (R-Denial), arguably the dumbest biped ever elected to public office, is considering a Presidential run.

Rep. Bachmann, I salute your chutzpah, ambition, and utter divorce from reality. If this is the sort of candidacy that self-identified conservatives, and that faction within the GOP, believes is right for them, I can only rub my hands together in evil glee for the day when the vast majority of the American citizenry hands them their fucking heads and lets them know exactly how far they are from where people who don't wear their colon as a stocking cap find them to be.

Unlike [livejournal.com profile] flemco, however, I have no desire to see Rep. Bachmann and former Gov. Palin wrestling in mud, jello, or anything else. Just seeing them standing behind podia and looking like the utterly clueless fools they are is enough to peg my schadenfreude meter (not to mention, it'll probably make an awesome drinking game. Take heed, debate schedulers - make this sucker on a Friday night).

Two dudes, both much buffer than I am, in a rhetorical throw-down for the ages.

A Unitarian minister blasts the right-wing "death panel" talking point (and those who spread it) in a post entitled Hey! Mr. & Mrs. “Real” America, Pardon My Indelicate and Unprofessional Language, But Fuck You and Your “Death Panels” (an impolite sermon for impolite times)
