I've gotten off my skinny white ass and started jogging again. Today was my second run in three days (doing, quite literally, One Lap of Gothopia - from my house to Casa de Sil/Uno, and back. . . it's something like 1.7 miles round trip if Mapquest can be trusted), and I can feel my legs becoming less annoyed by the concept, as well as holding up to it better. . . two walking interludes on Tuesday became one today, and I suspect that, especially with the cooler weather forecast for this weekend, I'll be able to do the whole thing nonstop until my cooldown walk).
Bought a chin-up bar and installed it in the doorway of my office. Realizing that I can only do five from a dead hang is disappointing, but a guy's gotta start somewhere.
And, niftier than that, today was K's first day on a promising new assignment. She was pimped out by a friend she made at her first gig, and the company asked for her by name to come in for the job. I think it's temp to perm, and a big pay upgrade from what she'd been getting at the Red Cross & Salvation army.
As soon as I finish taking down the halloween decorations, I'll finish posting pix of the home improvement stuff that was undertaken with my parents' help last week.
