Let it not be said that new and novel taste experiences can't be had for less than twenty cents.

Chile. Lime. Shrimp. Ramen.

That's the way it's named, and that's also the pecking order when it comes to taste. Certainly not the finest product I've ever enjoyed from the Maruchan Ramen Corporation (or whoever makes these things), but palatable.

The chaser (a Doubletree Hotel oatmeal chocolate chip cookie) has me cursing the guy who brought them in, though it's pretty much guaranteeing I'll hit the gym tomorrow at some point (last night's session did wonders for clearing the residual metabolic crud out of my system).

Tonight, it's WoW with the crew to complete a quest for all of us before we cruise. I'm aware this makes us dorks. I'm also aware that I don't give a damn. :-)

I think I got mine (non-cupped variety) at a Kash n Karry or Publix, though perhaps it was at a standalone Wal-Mart supermarket (not attached to the retail store).

Definitely prefer old-school Beef, or picante beef/chicken.

As [livejournal.com profile] eriktik once famously said, "Where do they get off calling this 'Oriental' flavored? It doesn't taste anything like her (http://www.livejournal.com/users/nebelhexa)!"

Tried it. It's "eh." Too much lime, IMO.

Regular shrimp ramen with a dab of tuong ot toi (Vietnamese chili and garlic paste) does the trick nicely. (I like the Huy Fong brand in the clear jar with green cap.)

I was never keen on the shrimp flavor, and am a steadfast siriachi man for my vietnamese chili paste needs. . . though your recommendation bears investigagion. :-)

The jalepeno version is better... and also, use the trick [livejournal.com profile] hellsop recommended above. :9
