Dessicated Pig Thyroid - [livejournal.com profile] angelsil - Medicinal Purposes
Powdered Fox Urine - [livejournal.com profile] etcet - Possum Repellent (those fuckers make a wide array of awful noises when they're flailing around underneath one's bathroom floor at eleven pm)

Anyone need Fried Bear Testicles or something? Figure we might as well do a whole lot of quests and get it all knocked out at once. :-p

Oddly enough, someone else on my fl recently was looking into the whole powdered fox urine thing. We suggested it might be cheaper to have her husband just pee on the shrubbery, but I'm not entirely sure it would remove the possums and it would definitely freak out the neighbors.

Ultimately she ended up hiring a trapper, but I'm sure the possum density is far less up here than it is out by you.

This is a new development (like, it started over the weekend).

I hadn't considered the, uh, DIY solution. . . but since that room is inside the back fence, it could be explored with minimal risk of public lewdness citations, assuming I can't find the real thing at Home Depot or wherever (it's $15 a can online).

This is just greater incentive to slap a layer of fiberglass insulation underneath the house and cover that shit with plywood, though.

It would probably work for *you*, and me... But some of my aunt's hippy friends heard about that trick and decided it was much better than buying rabbit repellent that exploited animals (presumably by making them drink lots of beer and coffee). So they started whizzing in their garden every chance they got. The one thing that they missed understanding was that rabbits and possums only bother to avoid carnivore markings...

*cackle*

"hey, man, why do we still have all these animals here, laughing at us and waving ranch dressing?"

after listening to it last night, i'm inclined to revise my initial guess. growls, wheezing, chattering - definitely possum-like.

mutual of omaha's wild fucking kingdom. first it was the squirrel above the bathroom, now the possum below it. sheesh.

You obviously need a bigger, tougher vehicle.

This hippy wears spikes, and promises to puncture some tires when you drive over her. ;)
