seen on a license plate: I8MYPHO

Two different employment pings occurred this week; neither looks like it will bear immediate fruit, but if nothing else, it's reassuring to know that I actually possess a marketable skillset.

GC3 deposit paid. New mobo for K en route.

K's folks had a good visit.

I now know more about Big Red Can's contract to supply Dot-On-Box Pizza Company's soft drinks than anyone really needs to, though I didn't have the heart to fire up google to convince the corporate account manager that the guy who sings the theme song to Shrek 2 is the the lead singer for Counting Crows (or was it Hootie?), and _not_ the guy from The Black Crowes (though she did get partial credit for knowing he wrote it due to a messy breakup).

My powers of slack are mighty, and taste good with ketchup.

Aside to [livejournal.com profile] thewronghands: What's the name of that evil isometric position you endorsed, where you're holding yourself up, face-down, with your arms bent at the elbow and pressed against your sides?

Do you know how long it took me to get the scanner to work to scan that?

Ok not very long, but um...yeah....erm...Curse you for making my work redundant anyway!

what scanner to work to scan what? the comic? (i get it on my my.yahoo homepage)

were sweatpants involved?

Pho = vietnamese soup, usually made with beef or chicken, onion, and noodles (typically the end-user can garnish it with lime, bean sprouts, jalapenos, cilantro, and assorted sauces - chili, hoisin, etc). I couldn't tell if the driver was vietnamese or not, since the windows were seriously tinted.

1 of my jobs is STC (student technology consultant). We've got scanners there. And yes, that comic.

No sweatpants were harmed in the posting of this or the previous reply. The sweatpants were swapped for jeans, which went better with my shirt. Which unfortunately was put on.

And ah. Thanks for clarifying.

Carry on.

You're right, it's a Counting Crows song.

*turns in gothcard* *watches card smolder*

the only reason i knew that was because i watched one of the 'behind the scenes/making of s2' shows.

that may well be the last movie i've seen in a theater, actually.

Do you think they might have meant "I Ate My Ford?"
Date/Time: 2005-02-24 14:44 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] etcet.livejournal.com
doubtful; it was a lightly-riced honda civic. *chuckle*

Hey, have you seen the Burger King commercial with the singer from Hootie singing? I *swear* it's him. I saw it last night during LOST and was lmao. Yep. Just confirmed it. It was him.

Freaky.

I don't watch television; I think the last non-sports thing I tuned in for was some Discovery Science Channel thing on a Triassic Icthyosaur excavation on Monday; not too likely to catch fast-food ads that far down the dial.

Seconded.

Although now I want pho. (I doubt I would want 'pu' if I saw the other license plate. ^_~)

I've got one that's nearly as bad, called the "Chinese Rest Position". Picture the push up position. Now move your mental arms out past your head, clasp your virtual hands together (left hand cupping right fist), and rest your noggin on your hands while "supporting" your body on your forearms. Your toes and your forearms are the only things allowed to touch the floor. Hold this position for more than a minute. I dare you.

i can do it for two, at least with my upper arms vertical. :-) the wife was trying to tell me about some reverse variant, but i can't picture it.

The person you want to avoid is the one with the license plate reading "I8MYFOE" . . .
