"Delay Invokes God in Schiavo Case"

I agree with [livejournal.com profile] xn on this one, in that, despite my ardent atheism, a fine, fine way to win my belief would be for a little bit of Old Testament-style smack be laid down by the Big Guy on these raging asshats, who are not only bandying this woman's unfortunate state around like a goddamned battle axe to curry political favor, but are now transparently trying to play it like some kind of favor from the almighty himfuckingself.

"Hey God, save me from your followers" has never seemed more true.

Ya know, I wonder how long I would be allowed to read from Ezekiel on the steps of the Capitol before I got shooed along or outright arrested, heh. I'm just stupid enough to do it :)

yes, yes you are. *g*

make sure to have plenty of witnesses, and at least two video and audio sources documenting what happens. . . and don't acknowledge the third when they hustle you off. *smirk*

"...he declared outrage that "Americans would be so barbaric as to pull a feeding tube out of a person that is lucid and starve them to death for two weeks.""

Which, of course, we wouldn't. Not if he or she were lucid.

Precisely.

Of course, the president has already signed into law a texas bill (as governor, in 1999) something that, more or less, is the complete opposite of his present stance.

if the government wants to keep everyone alive as long as possible, then maybe they should look into universal health care. . . but, oh dear, doesn't that sound like something the democrats would love?

hey, how about not undermining the social security plan with something that, at the bottom of it, will only work in an economy thriving enough that the projected social security shortfall would never happen in the first place, so that the pending elderly can afford healthcare?

still sounding too much like a democrat, huh?

man, but at least we've got a giant invisible man who may or may not exist on our side of righteous indignation! boy howdy! hooah!
