... is, as one might expect, roots.

I don't expect Danny Gover, Oprah, or LeVar Burton to show up with pick-axes (or am I confusing this with the cast of "The Color Purple"?).

However, I plan on wielding one myself, since, as [livejournal.com profile] avariel kindly pointed out, a little sweat and swearing will save me a fuckload of money. Seems that one or more roots have insinuated themselves into the drain line, and are blocking about 3/4 of it. I'll let the experts replace the cast-iron bits with PVC where need be and slather on the toxic goo to dissuade mother nature from a repeat performance, but I've got a pick-axe, some loppers, and a nice big streak of stubborn, not to mention enough Yankee heritage behind me to say, "Hard work is worth savin' that kind of money, I'll do it myself."

Bob, this may be payback for when we ganked the general's armor sheath. I'd like to borrow your tools, if you're still in ouchland from doing the stuff at 6612.

I'll supply water, beer, chips& salsa, sweet sweet forbidden P-can, coconut rum, and burgers to whomever wants to come over and lay some smack down.

Oh, don't worry. I'll make you run Cat5 through the attic or something when you get here. or maybe help me stuff insulation under the floor. that's always a good time.

actually, depending on when you get your scraggly ass down here, you might luck into helping pressure-wash the house and play with the paint sprayer.

Nope sorry, don't do cat5 anymore, let alone in attics where it's warm. Besides, last I checked you had 802.11g?

Better yet do you remember what we did for my 28th b-day? Total Inebriation!

Pepsi. I work for a company known for their cola, which comes in a red and white can.

Damn, I was hoping you were talking about pie.

I have pie on the brain, as usual, though.

I'll be there. Let me know when, where and which implements of destruction you'll be needing.

I have the crowbar and a pickaxe. We can probably do without the sledge, but if you've got a shovel and a hand axe, those will probably be handy.

I plan on getting a relatively early start tomorrow, to try and avoid any thermal indignities, so if you want to swing by after 9 or so, that'll be dandy. Mayhaps we can get the womenfolk to document our stupidity the way the wibby did while we manned all over your yard last time. ;-)

We'll be sipping Mojitos on the porch with the camera and watching you boys do your thing ;-)
