I actually think the reason I feel so good today is the fact that I took down a few beers and some Arbor Mist last night.

There's nothing like dissolving the week's angst in alcohol to make a guy feel like a million bucks in small, unmarked bills.

Guess we aren't going out dancing tonight after all.

I broke him!

Now I know why I'm in such a crappy mood today. I didn't drink any alcohol last night. And now today is full of suck.

Solution: Will drink tonight. Wash away stupid crap. Yay!

Then I get to drag my ass out of bed at way-too-fucking-early o'clock, see my grandparents for the first time in ages, and watch my mom walk for her MBA.

That screams "BEER, now!" to me.

More true words were never spoken.
Me, I think a few pitchers of cider are in order.

Not being a cider man myself, I'll leave that you you and the wahf.

For my part, I think a stroll to our friendly neighborhood ghetto liquor store is in order.

Rawk. You and The Lady down a glass of rum for The Woman and I, eh?
We are thinking we should be down for a visit come August.

I'll take Rafe's portion of cider since he's gonna turn his nose up at it.

Yeah, yeah. . . I don't like apple juice, either. fresh apples, yes. apple PIE, yes. liquid apple stuff, for whatever reason, doesn't work for me.

Oooh - Hmmm, either would do - or a Magners. Mmmmmm Magners. Cider Jack's not too bad.

Ooo - I do have a new blender to break in. It's all in the name of checking it out before the party!!! Really!

You'd better make sure the liquor works, too. Wouldn't want to serve a bunch of shirley temples. . .

I tried that. I just got a headache out of the deal. But I'll be repeating the strategy this evening to see if the results are better. ;)

By all means. This has all the earmarks of an unscientific study worth pursuing.

Hell yes. And since P doesn't drink, I've already got a control subject. Oh, wait. That's entirely too scientific.

P doesn't drink

Which explains the crankiness so well, doesn't it?
Date/Time: 2005-05-14 02:24 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] ladysoleil.livejournal.com
prolly also explains why *I* drink so damn much!

Serious agreement. Nothing boosts my productivity like a constant stream of "wake up at ten, work for ten hours, dinner and booze, anime, sleep" days. Feels like I could do those forever but in honesty, about 20 in a row is the limit. Then I need a day away from the computer.

*nodding* It's even made putting up with meetings and the inability to bail early, due to a dry run of our presentation for tuesday at 3:00, less onerous.
