Well, I agree that he has very well-constructed argument with excellent and valid points. Many kudos.
However, since my foremost values in life are Honor, Loyalty, and Duty, my principles disagree on the matter.

Having worn a uniform for 6 years and being no closer to hero-dom as anybody else who hasn't worn one, I have to agree 100%

I support our troops 100%...the people, the human beings out there where they sure as hell don't want to be. But I don't support the boob nor the regime that sent them there. I've been someplace idiotic, against my will, against common sense, at the expense of our taxpayers, and with no maningful results, only to return because the commanding officer ran out of soft-fucking-serve ice cream. How fucking heroic is that?

Well said indeed. The word is being thrown around entirely too much. Give it a bit longer and it'll lose the little shred of meaning and honor that it had left.
