I'm waiting for more of his positions before I get *too* excited, but unless he turns out to be a raving fascist, which I just cannot imagine from the interviews, etc., he sooooooooooooo gets my vote. Fuck, I'd get off my ass and door-knock for him :)
Seeing as the guy has never been a politician before now, we have no way of knowing what he *really* stands for. What he, or ANY prospective politician says, means *nothing*.
"Free nations are peaceful nations. Free nations don't attack each other. Free nations don't develop weapons of mass destruction." -George W. Bush
"We know that dictators are quick to choose aggression, while free nations strive to resolve differences in peace." -George W. Bush
"When I take action, I'm not going to fire a $2 million missile at a $10 empty tent and hit a camel in the butt. It's going to be decisive." -George W. Bush
I can remember finding Bushisms funny once upon a time. Now I think even finding the humor in them was tragic in its way :/
And I totally agree with not believing political promises, regardless of the quarters from which they come. Even so, given a field of proven jackasses, should he not prove to be an outright and immediately discernible jerk, and *if* he actually runs, I'd have to pull the lever for him just on the off chance he might not stink :> I'm not worried about splitting votes because I'm not terribly convinced that there's actually a vote to be split at this point.
I didn't read a lot of it...but, is *he* running, or is someone trying to *get* him to run by culling support for the idea? If the former, is he running on an independent ticket, or is he trying to front himself as the next democratic hopeful?
I'll read more later when I have a nano-second. Sorry to ask you to be my Readers Digest for me, but enquiring and disgusted with the current administration minds want to know.

Great minds....
Or MeFi.
Or both. ;)

Don't care what party, or even what issues/platforms he'd run with.
"Christopher Walken for Pres? Oh, fuck yea!"

I could go on, but it's too embarrassing.

But I digress. Worse, I ramble :)

...though Walken for president would be kind of cool.
