Wedding was nice.

However, my camera ate the pictures.

Meeting [livejournal.com profile] deviathan was, as expected, lovely. Finally meeting my first game-made friends ([livejournal.com profile] selkiesiren and [livejournal.com profile] geekwuffie) was also damn spiffy. Particulars later (or just check his LJ).

Of course, the world doesn't end just because I stop bitching about it.

NoLa: All our friends are alive and accounted for. None of our government is. You think I'm making this shit up? Here is a press release by the fucking -senator- calling El Shrubbo a motherfucker for dicking over the city and citizens, and staging a photo op at the expense of saving or helping people.

This is even more troubling - http://www.livejournal.com/users/spiderfarmer/240598.html

And, of course, the long-lasting concerns sowed by the death of Chief Justice Rehnquist... a man who, had we thrown a big party in 2001, could have walked to the house where I was staying, because it was only three blocks away.

*chuckles* it's been a _while_ since someone's called me by that LJ name....

It was great to have met you and yours. It's a rare moment when we find ourselves up to all hours talking with people we just met, so, it says quite a lot about the company.

Agreed, and particularly so comfortable around the offspring! I really enjoyed meeting you.

Having a 13 year old goth child, we definitely speak "teen" well enough. Yours was a lot of fun, BTW!

If I'd have known there was to be another child in any of the outtings, I mighta kept mine at home. But, as it was, I didn't want to risk boring the life out of her for better than 24 hours, having to hang out with all the grups.

Might be fun to do it again, and see if the spawn get along at all.

Y'know, dude, when MOST people throw rowdy parties, they just have the *cops* show up. It'd be a pretty rare thing to have a rep from the Supreme Court turn up on your doorstep to ask you to keep it down.

Or - I dunno - maybe he just woulda been there for the shooters.

:::making an unusual appearance to say...:::

It was good to meet the two of you in the flesh as well. [livejournal.com profile] aishlyn and yourself are both quality people, and we were glad to have had the opportunity to talk face to face instead of through IM clients (meat based or otherwise).
