This is ostensibly going to be the intro to a much longer, rather surreal piece based on a dream from some weeks back.

"You would not believe the amount of stuff on bums out there."
"Yeah, but how much of it has to do with hobos and the homeless? We're not getting paid to surf anal fetish stuff here."
"Very funny. Look at this."
Jackson leaned over Davis' desk. "Bumerica Online? You've got to be kidding."
"Nope. A pictorial history of vagrants. Culture and everything. Looks like a Ken Burns documentary." Davis clicked over a few of the navigation buttons. "It beats the shit out of all those bumfighting spinoffs, if you'll pardon the pun."
Jackson groaned and cracked his knuckles. "Okay, let's get it. And remind me again why we're doing this. It stopped making the slightest fucking bit of sense about three months ago."

"I can't believe you got a grant for this."
"What? The government has all these funds sloshing around, we might as well get some of them to use."
"Did you tell them what we were using them for?"
"Had to. Didn't have to be all that explicit, mind you, but they know the basics. Explain your project in not more than 600 characters, including spaces. What a joke."
"So we're going to use government money to be destitute. Am I the only one who sees irony in this?"
"You see the middle finger in this?"
"Very funny."
"I still can't believe they went for it."
