Hot on the heels of yesterday's news of rampant legislative stupidity, it seems that Ms. Miller's misbegotten notion has been, dare I say it, aborted.

[thanks to Req for the good news]

Yesterday, I was telling Ken about this, and he made mention that he thought this bill was a target against lesbians. I hadn't thought of that...and now you've got this posted up - so BINGO!

(nods) I never would have put that together, but I'm not surprised. I knew it wouldn't fly...thankfully.

A controversial proposed bill to prohibit gays, lesbians and single people from using medical procedures to become pregnant has been dropped by its legislative sponsor.

Well, I'm glad to see that someone finally admitted that this was specifically targeting gays and lesbians. I am even more glad to see that it's been tossed for the ridiculously bad idea that it is.

I really hate the way politicians bend words to try and sneak in their agendas.
