1. My username is etcet because [Unknown site tag] was taken. There was a moment where I considered trying my hand as a DJ, and going by "DJ Etcetera" at approximately the same time this thing came about. There's no sense trying to be coy - it's not hard to figure out who I am by watching this space anyway. ;-)
2. My journal is titled, "Life Sucks. Get a Helmet," as an homage to Denis Leary, who's just fucking right most of the time, and this says pretty much everything about the human condition. You can bitch all you want, but do something or STFU. Next!
3. It's subtitled, "You may not have asked for it, but you're getting it," because I'm not going to self-censor. This ties in with the bio text, which is just as subtle. "I'm an opinionated asshole. What's worse is, I'm usually right."
4. My friends page is called, "The Few, The Proud, The Tainted," as an obvious riff on the Marine Corps marketing slogan. Anyone who I call a friend is in select company, but there's probably something wrong with you. ;-)
5. My default userpic is a crop from the cover of Nativity in Black, which I've been using for the better part of a decade in various places. The little kid just looks evil, like it's reaching out to grab your soul [or your boobs ;-)]. I even printed a few out, along with flavor text, in order to deface a few M:TG cards as "Satan Baby," which could create Diaper Tokens with an infusion of mana.

1. My username is avariael because I started the journal when I was with Just, and that was his name for me. He'd had a dream, where I was an angel of war, and I thought that was pretty awesome.
2. My journal is titled Winning Out Over Reality because it's an homage to the movie Harvey. And I don't believe people should just let their lives happen *to* them. Life is not a spectator sport dammit.
3. My subtitle is Overcoming Time, Space And Objections because, another homage to Harvey. Same reason as the other one. :)
4. My friends page is called Having A Wonderful Time, Wherever I Am, Whomever I'm With because, you're probably bored now, another reference, same movie. I think we should all try to be as happy as we can, not as rich as we can.
5. My default userpic is kiwi because my maryland friends call me that, so I made the cute little userpic person with the kitties.
