President Bush today defended use of secret wiretaps in the United States, saying the program focused on people with links to terrorists. "I've reauthorized this program more 30 times since the September 11 attacks and I intend to do so for so long as the nation faces a continuing threat from an enemy that wants to kill American citizens," Bush said. Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
And he's doing it. Implying people who stand against his plan of domestic spying are guilty.
Calling it the Patriot Act does not make it so. Being against it does not mean I'm not a patriot.
His argument is that we are war. Congress never declared war on Iraq. Only Congress can declare war.
People are dying in an illegal war, our Constitution is being weakened for an illegal war.
I've said before, I love this country and what it stands for. This president makes me ill.

How does this criminal bastard stay in power? Clinton got impeached for a blow job, only a crime in a few backwater counties in the deep south, but here Shrub VIOLATES THE COSTITUTION and we can't even get any real public outrage?
If Jefferson were alive today he'd be marching on the White house at the head of a column of tanks, and it wouldn't be a fucking parade.

Which was what caused the impeachment (demise) of a different president in the not so distant past....

Someone should create a 9/11 drinking game. For every speech where someone from the WH uses the words 9/11 as a way to remind people to be scared of terrorists and therefore support the war, a shot should be taken. After Cheney's speech yesterday, I would have been passed out five minutes into it. He was frequently tossing out 9/11 with only two words separating each instance.

And the speaker.
