It's better than working....

-We all think we are so close, but really we know nothing about each other. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away.

- Then post this in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you ...

Here's a freebie that you can all get a chuckle out of:

I was once paid to write an article on how to find porn on the internet. (Admittedly, this was in 1996.)

Why'd you move south?
Date/Time: 2006-01-11 15:57 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] etcet.livejournal.com
Which time? Technically, other than a brief jaunt to Brooklyn in late 2001, I've been moving south ever since 1997.

1997 - Buffalo to East Bumfuck, PA (for a job)
2001 - Buffalo to DC (for a job)
2002 - Brooklyn to NOLA (GF had a good job opportunity, and I had had zero success finding work in NYC)
2004 - NOLA to Tampa (for a job)

Clearly, I follow the siren song of the dollar sign. :-)

holy crap, hi!

*gets up off floor*

Uh, during work hours, it's green tea with some funky herbal stuff added, or water (I'm partial to Dasani, which has nothing to do with working for the company that bottles it).

PEPSI. Leaded, caffeinated, and completely forbidden at the office.

Lately, if it's an adult bevvie, Full Throttle Fury with peach vodka is a damn fine thing. Haven't tried it with SoCo yet.

how much do you suck right now....

[i've been doing decaf green tea with herbal extracts, or a yerba mate blend. i've gotten so accustomed to the yerba/green/ginger/dandelion/nettle extract taste that when i'm out (i use greenbush.net's self metabolism blend), it tastes funny]

plus, i've gone to natural sugar/turbinado for sweetening, rather than the processed sugar. baby steps, as it were.

vanilla voddy with root beer is darn tasty.

the fury stuff is new this month, tastes like orange with a hint of peach, and i think it's the best tasting thing we make.

Depends on what part of the country you are on and what Coca-Cola distributer you have in the area (ie. Coca-Cola Enterprises, Coca-Cola Non-aligned Distributers, Coca-Cola Consolidated Distribyters. etc). By and large most Home Market acounts (grocery stores and such) should have Full Throttle Fury by Feb 12.

I've got one for you. What was your childhood like?I was once paid to write an article on how to find porn on the internet. (Admittedly, this was in 1996.)Nice work if you can get it!;)

they paid me fifteen bucks for five hundred words. it was hardly lucrative.

as for your main query - i had, for all intents and purposes, the perfect suburban upbringing, other than my being on the short side. no emotional or physical trauma, support and punishment doled out appropriately, safe neighborhood, good school, nothing ostentatious but no going without the essentials. family vacations, youth soccer, plenty of friends, mostly good grades.

as i meet more and more people, i'm amazed how rare this is.
