1- You know I'm going to mock you when the Devils win the Stanley Cup, right? (sorry, I couldn't resist an opportunity for trash talk...but it was in the form of a question.)

- Uh, no, not really. Even if I wasn't a fan, I think the Sabres have a much better shot of making (and winning) the finals than the Jersey Girls do. With Ottowa and Carolina both looking beatable, and Buffalo peppering Philly's goalie to the tune of nearly 60 shots last game, I think the Sabres are the team to beat in the Eastern conference right now, and if Detroit gets knocked out, this could be our year. I will, however, bet you publically, right now, that the loser of this bet will need to do a heinous-tasting shot of the winner's chosing if the other's team wins the cup (or at least is still alive when you get down here for the Annual Gothopia Shenanigans).

2- Did you ever actually *sell* anything on Digital Discipline? Or are you just the most perverted geek I know?

- I sold three whips and a half-dozen pairs of prickly gloves. [livejournal.com profile] thewronghands was my very first paying customer, as a matter of fact. I've also edited four novels for pay as a freelancer.

3- I know we all joke about the Wild Turkey Party, but I also know you're actually serious about politics. Have you ever seriously considered trying to run for office under a mainstream party affiliation?

- No, because mainstream political parties wouldn't have me, due to being too plain/outspoken, and I don't hew to any of their party lines with sufficient fervor that they'd feel comfortable being associated with their name. Fringe parties, like the Libertarians, are their own brand of crazy, and are already marginalized enough to be irrelevant. Sad fucking truth.

4- What are you listening to right now (in general, not at this moment?) I always like your mix CD's and I'm curious about what you're into at present.

- I've been disappointed by music lately, and have honestly only bought an average of one album a year since the RIAA went apeshit in 99/00 because I think the industry, as a whole, is broken, and doesn't need my money. Of bands that have come to prominence since then, the only one that's really gotten much of my attention is Disturbed, and, to a much lesser extent, Evanescence. I just don't think much of new music by new bands, or new music by old bands I used to be big on (NIN's sucked since Broken/Fixed, other than "Closer," for example, and don't get me started on Metallica's descent into irrelevance).

5- You're still writing, right? What are you working on?

- Half-assedly poking at some short stories in various stages of development. I did get a very nice generic rejection last year from [livejournal.com profile] jaylake's Polyphony project for "Tomorrow's Forecast," which was a riff on something Helen wrote that inspired me. Beyond that, about the only thing that comes out with any reliability are my rants, and the D&D recaps you see here.
