Maybe it loses something with the audio off, but I don't think that award-winning Campari "genderfuck" ad is particularly stylish, and I sure as fuck don't find it sexy. Yes, it's clever and well-composed.

However, I've already seen The Crying Game, thanks.

Suffice it to say, even if I didn't think it tasted like medicinal asshole sweat, the commercial certainly doesn't make me want to drink Campari... "Swig some of this stuff, and you won't have any idea what sex the person you're flirting with is."

No thanks.

I'm down on androgyny, I'm afraid. I like guys to be built like guys, and women who are recognizably feminine. To bastardize and repurpose something clever [livejournal.com profile] cavalorn said several years ago, "Those two having sex would be like me banging two bicycles together."

In beer commercials, there's none of that ambiguity.

I don't do subtle.

I like my beer tepid, my TV off, and, well, I don't have a whole lot of opinion of homosexuals beyond, "I'm flattered, but not interested, thanks, though."

" ... You can still buy me that drink, though."

I'm usually oblivious. [livejournal.com profile] mighty_man has an amusing anectdote on this subject, where we were flirting with a fella's sister, and he was actually hitting on me (as I was told after the fact; I just thought he was a nice guy).

Oh geez, I had totally forgotten about that. But he was *very* male. Kilt and all. After you had left (I can't remember where we were), I told him where you were going and he took off after you. Unfortunately, his sister eventually decided that she'd best go find him *grr*

We were at Zoo Bar, on Chippewa, playing pool with Steve Lo, iirc. The guy in the kilt and his sister were there after a friend's wedding or some formal office function or some such thing.
