Having done my mini grocery run, broadened my mind via online job training, and wearing ruts in the internet, the day continues to drag. With that in mind, this bit of fluff, courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] marchenland:

The Rules:
1. Grab the nearest book with a blue cover.
2. Open the book to page 86.
3. Find the first full paragraph
4. Post the text in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around and look for the coolest book you can find, just the closest blue book.

The Seven Habits of Highly Successful People, Stephen R. Covey
Indirect control problems are solved by changing our methods of influence. These are the "Public Victories" of Habits 4, 5, and 6. I have personally identified over 30 separate methods of human influence -- as separate as empathy is from confrontation, as separate as example is from persuasion. Most people have only three or four of these methods in their repertoire, starting usually with reasoning, and if that doesn't work, moving to flight or fight. How liberating it is to accept the idea that I can learn new methods of human influence instead of constantly trying to use old ineffective methods to "shape up" someone else!

(No, I didn't search around for the coolest book, honest....I just got lucky. ;) This opera score was nearby because I'm singing it in a couple of weeks.)

Also bored today, I see.

Mine is quite predictable, as it's the only blue book in my cubicle:

"A gale of laughter from the middle of the table drowned the rest of Bill's words. Fred, George, Ron and Mundungus were rolling around in their seats."

Ganked from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

The first blue book I saw was my textbook from my Meetings and Conventions class.

I'll spare you.

My Blue Book says this is worth about $9,995.

From Think You're the Only One? Oddball Groups Where Outsiders Fit In

In his youth, Paranormal Ghost Society founder Rick Rowe had a variety of experiences with paranormal entities. He sensed presences around him, things that couldn'r quite be explained. For example, a shadowman with red eyes once stood over his bed. UFOs have hovered over his house for years, sometimes making noise during the early hours of the morning. All of these experiences resulted in a healthy curiousity for the supernatural. Over time, his curiousity grew into a full-fledged quest for the truth. In addition to doing copious research, Rick began to photograph some of the apparitions in his own house. He began to share all of his work with other people, and in 2002, Rick and other believers formed the Paranormal and Ghost Society.

I hate you for making me type that whole thing. :P

The cfinclude tag is quite simple in that it only has one required parameter: template. This parameter indicates the logical path of another ColdFusion template to include in the current template. The mechanics are simple: The code of the specified template is added to the current template at the point where the cfinclude tag is located and is processed as if it were part of the current page.

This is from Candyland for Dummies, obviously.
