Ernesto will track over the west end of Jamaica as a TS/Cat1, then move on into the GoM, heading for Corpus Christi, before curving towards the north and making eventual landfall (strengthening over the GoM to Cat3), but weakening slightly to make landfall around Gulfport MS as a Cat2, then soaking the hell out of MS, AL, & GA. Much more of a rain event than a wind event.

Thanks for the prediction! I was starting to think about getting worried about it being pointed right at Houston, but between you and the latest NHC track, I'm feeling better. Gulfport absolutely doesn't need more hurricanes, though. ={

but i stand by the FFF, since it doesn't get revised, and 120+ hours out, it's still more accurate than just about every one of the professional computer models....
