His logic is flawed - to say the least. If we're going to use the analogy of pre-WW II then who are we calling Hitler? Bin Laden? Saddam? The whack job leader of Iran?

The difference - that the idiots in power don't seem to get - is that pre WWII Europe had a chance to disarm a centralized threat. There was no question as to where Hitler was or how to remove him. He was in Germany and the Nazi party was mostly limited to that country. A quick strike by the right military could have ended it.

We don't have that now. Islamic Fundamentalism is not centralized and there is no 1 leader or party that we can remove to make the world 'safe'. Short of a religious jihad against ALL muslims, we're going to have to accept that military power will not and, in fact, CAN NOT, bring us safety.

OMFG!!! Except the fact that those who destroyed the WTC buildings and landed a plane in the Pentagon had NO connection with Iraq... For the love of all that's pure and holy, when are people going to wake up to the *facts*??? This "war" had *nothing whatsoever* to do with "protecting Americans" or anyone else for that matter.
