dressed as "an ugly cheerleader" at the office myself - sneakers, black utilikilt (workman model), black workout shirt, Oakland Raiders jersey, and the silver/black Jug-Head hat [livejournal.com profile] angldst made me back in '01.

Not a whole lot going on; loud neighbor stupidity compounded by indigestion kept me up last night and made me a cranky bitch when K got home from having a beer with a friend; got a dual-monitor setup on the office desk at work now *(yay)*

tonight will be spent cleaning the guest room for my parents' invasion on thursday.

tentative plan is for TBBC next Thursday, and definite plans include voting on tuesday (despite the profound and generally nodding-in-agreement cynicism of the process espoused by Fred Reed here), various household maintenance during my mandatory week off, and [livejournal.com profile] critus' age-feast on 11/11.

the addition of the new catlet was a very good thing for sanity around the house. the youngsters tear ass around, which means they're not hassling the mature ones.

360 is shiny, even if it does mean my life, as well as that of jeeves & [livejournal.com profile] analmuch, is perilously akin to that of today's Dilbert.

in health news, most of the progress i'd been making at losing weight was undone by a weekend of beer and cheese, despite hitting spin class on sunday morning. i'm hoping some of the backslide is water retention (i'd almost been in the 160's again). the new chiropractor isn't quite as good as the old one, but much more conveniently located (and takes my current insurance). i should probably get my ass in for a regular GP physical and an eye exam (both to see if my prescription is still viably current, and to see if i'm a lasik candidate).

as far as writing goes, not much has been dribbling out other than what occasionally makes it into [livejournal.com profile] shortshort, but at [livejournal.com profile] gooddamon's unintentional prodding, I've managed to submit a piece of flashfic for consideration. not doing nanowrimo, but i want to revisit a story idea or two for Polyphony again.
