hopefully the rose bush my folks picked up while erranding will thrive in not-full sun, because it's a nice deep red and has a lovely aroma. there is an ad-hoc herb garden in my back yard now. the basil is tasty.

While it's typically said that roses need FULL SUN we've had some of ours in less than that thrive. I think it's the fact that Florida heat and sun just overwhelms them in Summer. If they picked up a knockout rose bush (a specific type) they tend to do very well in FL. We're giving one a try now on the side yard.

Basil? OH I'VE GOT BASIL!!! wild, too. Lots of it.
