GW 165? Good luck on that one. No offense buddy, but you've got too much muscle mass. Given your height and body build, you'd need to get your fat % down to single digits to compensate (and no, that's not a poke at your waistline).
He shouldn't have a problem with 165. I would guess his healthy BMI range is the same as mine (125-164). I am at 150 right now, still lift from time to time, but have about 5-10 more worth of fat I could probably trim up.
Since he seems to lift more than me I would guess he should bottom out at around 155-165.
My reasoning is this -- he wants to lose a *net* of 14 lbs. That's dropping approximately 8% of his body weight in fat. And that's *without* increasing his muscle mass in any way.
