I don't do resolutions, so don't expect any. New Year's Eve will be spent at home, because, more than pretty much any other holiday with the exception of Valentine's Day, I have a special brand of hate on for it.

Career in financial planning would be interesting and possibly lucrative, but I have this allergy to wearing ties. Heh. I'll remain a source of free (and worth what you pay for it) advice.

Career in massage therapy would be interesting and possibly lucrative, but there's the matter of finding time to learn & get certified, and build clientele. Back burnering that one.

Career in writing... *wipes coffee off monitor* Uh, yeah. I'll continue selectively inflicting my wibbling on a handful of unsuspecting targets.

2006 didn't suck, but it could have been better. There's your year in a nutshell summation.

Given that I work for an association of financial planning sorts, I can say that some are averse to ties and sell in averse-to-ties markets.

Hmm. I work for a financial institution, but have no formal training, just a hunk of common sense with a vague recollection of AP Economics courses from high school.

Common sense is less common than it should be, though.

Nobody pays well for it, which is my problem.

A career in fiction writing... that's what most people do after work, right?
