gothism aside, why don't people understand that a black background on a computer screen is pixels at rest? Last time I checked, didn't we all agree that black is a cool color? Maybe this is why I don't show up to such things... hmmmmmm Oh well.

it's primarily done as a counterpoint (and to make a point) to the gothity gothity goths who got their panties in a wad when we decided to take the piss.

and then they complained when the less-taking-the-piss site was teal.

i like dark web pages - they're easy on the eyes. if i could figure out some way to make google 30% grey by default, i'd love it.

I guess I'm kinda glad I don't really understand what's up - that kinda bs is just annoying to me. Not sure what's wrong with teal, its slightly more "gender neutral" than pink... Them getting annoyed at a black background is like when some dork decides to show up at a club wearing all white to "make a point", not sure why they bother honestly, but whatever...

I once saw a statistic about how much energy would be saved worldwide if Google's background was black - it was staggering...
