[because [livejournal.com profile] critus & [livejournal.com profile] xany_hellion are cool, and I'd at least entertain the idea of jumping off of something if they did it...]

CW: 170 (yes, I slacked off the week after my weigh in and went up ~3)
HW: ~183
GW: ~155-160

Current regimen is various chunks of the "300" thing, walking a mile or two at lunch, some elliptical time (treadmills and I have never gotten along well)

I'm playing personal trainer to some coworkers, and may have a couple new "students" next week. I managed to allay one woman's fears about getting all buff and stuff when I pointed out that, two-plus years of fairly diligent gym attendance hasn't turned me into anything head-turning (much less freakish), and I'm -trying- to go in that direction.

But, here's the tale of the tape.
SM's are from the first week of 10/06, CM's are from ten minutes ago.

SW: 177 / CW: 170
Neck: 15.25 / 15.25
Chest: 39 / 40.5
Waist: 35.5 / 35.5
Hips: 40 / 40
Thigh: 22.5 / 21
Bicep: 12.5/15 (relaxed/tensed) / 12.25/15

Hmmmm.

In other, less narcissistic news, some neighborhood cat has apparently had kittens and has been hunkered down at GMBAN. I don't know if we have some sort of Bat Signal for this stuff, or what. Though that would explain our biggest cat's incessant asshole behavior this morning - he wasn't hungry, he was trying to call our attention to MOM MOM DAD ZOMG FUZZY INTERLOPERS MOM DAD HEY!

Sabres PWNT the Rangers again last night, and head to MSG up 2-0 in their series. Can I just say how much it fucking rocks to get the VS. network, even if we don't have the HD feed? Next season, we're talking about passing on Lightning season tix (or similar package) and spring for just the Sabres-'Ning games and the NHL Center Ice cable package. Joe Benedetti is one of the better play-by-play guys the national broadcasts have to offer (I'm a big fan of Gary Thorne, with Bill Clement doing color - the fact that they're the ones doing that in EA Sports' offering is a nice touch)... but they all pale in comparison to The Man, Rick Jeannerette. NHL.com offers the radio "simulcast"... unfortunately, on something like a 30 second delay. Sometimes, we have it streaming in the next room anyways, because Jeannerette is just.that.good. (RJ is the first one).

On call and "working" this morning, before going to GMBAS to abuse drywall.

Strange kind of encouragement ya got there ;-)

Wait, you *like* VS??? Hmm... I guess they don't mispronounce yr team's names as much. National channels seem to not know how to say simple names like "Evgeni" & such. That's ok, we can't say Thary Gorne over here either.

I like VS because they're the only station I get to see the Sabres play on, unless the local affiliate (SUN or FSN) is carrying a Buffalo/Tampa or Buffalo/Miami (Panthers) game. Bill Clement and the guys in the studio are good, and, unless you're down around their fourth-string announcer pairing, they do a decent enough job without having too much bias.

The Tampa radio tandem are abysmal, in addition to just being hideous homers. Rick & Jim (Buffalo's) are a shared feed from the TV broadcast; Rick and Chief (the Tampa TV duo) are okay... but, jeez... Phil Esposito gets my vote as the worst color guy in the league.

Those are some seriously cute fuzzy interlopers there.
