For the first time since childhood, my wrists are almost too big for me to reach around with my thumb and pinkie (and not merely due to the "girevik bruise" on the back of each forearm due to incautious technique).

Nothing to see here, please move along.

Note to Maiden of Virtue: DROP MAH FUKKEN HAMMAR TONITE, LOOT PINATA!

Glad you posted that - I just checked and ME TOO! Awesome! I do occasionally still get the girevik bruise from time to time after doing cleans with the 16K - oh well - here's hoping no one's thinking I'm a "battered woman" or anything - no one has tried to "have a talk" with me, so I think its ok.

I have -always- had very, very skinny wrists and poor grip strength, so this is a new and interesting development for me.

Thats awesome!! I've never had too much of a problem with grip, I was one of those kids that never came down off the monkey bars, its funny though, the calluses I have now look just like the ones I had permenantly as a little monkey-child.

Well congratulations on your new development - it certainly is a nice useful one!

Heh, I checked too and have the same thing, although it's obviously not from kettle training. Yeah that's. . . weird! And cool!

It's never far from my mind! And I've made a lot of progress so far this year. And now that I'm closer to it it's a lot easier to focus on results.

I squatted 110 lbs yesterday! A personal best!

I haven't found a group or anything to practice with (assuming such a thing exists around here).
