Freakonomics!

No, it's not a summer reading assignment, it's our humble suggestion for what you, yes you, can do with your Economic Stimulus Tax Rrebate. Fiddle while Rome burns! Drink while Wall Street crashes!

Or, you know, see a whole bunch of your friends for a few days of fun. That just doesn't sound nearly as fraught with dramatic, epic consequences. Except for that one person you hooked up with, totally by accident, after the Absinthe Incident, like five years ago, who keeps emailing you every once in a while.

*awkward silence descends*

Hey, look, a flamingo!

No, seriously, you'll be able to see flamingos - Rafe's contribution to the Host Tours is "Mutual of Woe-maha's Wild Kingdom" - an excursion to Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo.

Wildlife not your thing? TheOneBob will be hosting an outing to the Salvador Dali Museum. (Yes, the museum store sells souvenir melting timepieces.)

These are in addition to AngelSil's Cigar & Pub Tour, three official nights of great music (and one unofficial one), the Wake Brunch, and the piece d' resistance, the Jumping of the Shark.

Tickets are still on sale at the C14 website (http://www.c14ybor.com), along with plenty of great info, or check out the C14 MySpace Page (http://www.myspace.com/c14ybor).

One final note: ticket prices will be going up to their final tier of pricing on June 1st, so the sooner you get 'em, the more you can stimulate the alcohol industry, not to mention the great bunch of vendors we've got lined up!

sweet. I bought tickets for me and Mike. :-D

We still need to find some way to get down to see Gran for lunch or something, but other than that, plans are shaping up nicely.
