So, let's see... one of the services we use at work has fucked the dog twice this week as far as screwing up their authentication server scripting. Networking decided to implement some port filtering in the middle of the day and broke a bunch of shit. All of these rolling changes were done without so much as a single email heads-up being sent out.

One of my least-favorite departments took it upon themselves to relocate half their equipment after-hours last night, without bothering to tell us about it. So my boss and I interrupted our workout to head up there and glower, expressing a not-insubstantial amount of "What the FUCK?!?" at the fact that this shit was being done.

Also, short-handed this week, but the upside of having to do 33% more work is that I'm not subjected to the hideous, insipid, incessantly-repeating audio tripe from the next desk over.

The weekend can't get here soon enough. I need to get the fuck out of here.

Changes to production systems without notification is, IMO, grounds for severe beatings, with their blood being used to appease any Cisco / Sun equipment involved in the process. I've had to lodge formal complaints regarding non-scheduled outages to production systems in the past. It is never a happy time.

This was one part internal fuck-uppery, and two parts something completely outside our control fucking the dog.
