Their haul: circular saw, drill, weed whacker, and lawnmower. dunno if they stole my hammer and the shitty toolbox, since it started to pour.

The latest around here is people being mugged by drive-bys in their own garages while they're getting in/out of their cars. Lemme tell you how safe that makes me feel! I'm just glad I live on a cul-de-sac, so it's less likely there will be anyone randomly driving by. I'm hoping the older neighborhood that's further from the freeway (than the reports I've heard thus far) will also help reduce our odds of being hit with that particular scheme.

Nothing is worse than a thief. Back in January I had my house broken into and they stole everything of value that they could easily carry. The biggest blow to me personally in this was that they took everything in the house I could take pics with including my webcam.

ugh! That's awful! Will your homeowner's insurance cover getting stuff replaced? You might also want to call the cops - if it's over a certain $ amount and the scene is undisturbed, they can check for fingerprints (I know because I had my laptop stolen out of my car - while it was parked in my driveway).
