Hey, for me it's all about deficit vs. surplus. Show me the money, the rest is just BS. Numbers can lie--a little bit--but that kind of swing has a lot of truth in it.
I should have clarified; I don't honestly remember how Clinton was, politically, but I think part of why he's been lionized lately is as a point of contrast to twenty-plus years of GOP suckitude... all he had to do was suck less (despite getting an ill-considered blowjob) to look relatively good in comparison.
Very true, which is what I mean about the numbers. I don't understand the sudden nostalgia OR the vilification just ten years ago, when the numbers thing is what should count.
and...wait a minute, wait a minute...did you just say: despite getting an ill-considered blowjob? Are you sure you're a dude?! (and yes, I am completely and seriously joking...*snicker)
Been saying it for years - the Democrats may be "tax and spend" which certainly isn't ideal but they at least pay for their spending. Meanwhile the Republicans are "don't tax and spend" [just as much anyway]. And we wonder why the economy has been do less than spectacular during the payoff administration...
