I sit amused. The 1-3% figure is probably spot on, and that the crabapples haven't figured out that they are that 1-3% of PCs only makes it a complete gigglefit. 99% of computer owners wouldn't be able to say offhand what graphics hardware their PCs had. It runs MS Flight Simulator 2002 or Diablo, or whatever game they bought a half-decade ago and that's enough.

S'right.

My guess is that EA's marketing department have a pretty good handle on who buys their games & what equipment they use.

There's usually a quality feedback agent or questionnaire that folks can fill out (or just click a button for the program to scan their .nfo file).

So, yeah, I had to dig the guy for citing a statistic out of thin air, but otherwise, all the dumb on this one was from the frothing fanboys.

I was all set to get paid to rant, and then did some research.

So go rant about the frothing fanboys. Okay, maybe that's a fish/barrel situation...

Sounds like easy money to me...

And yes, I do know exactly what graphics hardware I'm running.

They're also arguably my target audience. I don't think deriding them will last long.
