This post got me thinking. Lo and behold, I haven't updated my video card drivers since, well, I got the machine. I'm not seeing much improvement since the patch, but it is a little better. Also, I tweaked some of the system and game settings to improve my framerate. So, feel proud that your post did inspire people (ok, maybe just me) to rethink our stuff.

In other news, every paycheck gets me that much closer to the day when I actually *can* justify building the gameboxen from hell. I *will* attempt to download the contents of your wetdrive. On the bright side, I can pay in either cash, beer or Hot Pockets for any info/tips you share.
