I am so annoyed at my alarm clock this morning. I was having an awesome literary dream.

Like, "Neil Gaiman would love to write this story, but, tough shit, Neil, I am!"[1]

Now, I hope I can remember the whole thing, instead of fading snippets and phrases.

[1] This did not, however, preclude me from having him from doing the audiobook version, and weeping openly at the denouement, because the story was just.that.awesome.

for no reason whatsoever, i'm going to tell you that ... i like the word "denouement". I don't like to pronounce it but i like reading it.

that is all.

It is exactly the right word for a very specific thing.

Deee-noooooooo-ment.

i know how to pronounce it ... i prefer SEEING it written. i'm the same way with "celedon" and "celery" ... i'm funny about words.

ps. i hate the word "scrod" written and the word "damp" pronounced in the midwest.

I have a complete hate on for the word "copacetic." *twitch*

I hate it when that happens. Had one I posted about on FaceBook (not sure if I posted it here). Mainly about travel and hanging out with friends I only get to see every few years, and a new one I have only gotten to hang with twice. It was very vivid.

This was one of my "literary" ones, which means that I wasn't just seeing it, I was writing it. Which is why I want to recapture it and write it down for real, because it was a damn powerful story.

Sometimes while I am waking from a dream, or more commonly when I am drifting off, I wish I could somehow get everything on paper that is running through my head. Both words and images. But even the thought of dictating, perhaps to a digital recorder, brings me out of that state of mind.

I need something out of Bis ans Ende der Welt (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101458/) perhaps.

Well, start writing. It's not going to get any easier as the day passes.

Neil is a FOAF of mine, on two separate vectors. So I can probably get ahold of him if needed. ;) Never met him myself, though.

I had a dream once that I swore could have been a Steven King movie (but... better). It even had a title. Think he'd like to buy the script outline from me? ;)

Hey Rafe! Facebook pointed me here, so I added you.

Jeanine from the Retail Operations Center!
(I'm pretty sure I'm the only person in the company who hates referring to my department as "THE ROCK". Even though it really is like a high security prison on a cold, wet, rocky island to me.)
