Today was the second “V-Burn Challenge” workout of the VD regimen, so we can see what sort of progress has been made in the first week.

Considering the fact that this weekend was spent doing a lot of social grazing, not enough sleeping, and a bit of walking, rather than anything remotely fit... the only good behavior I displayed was in regard to beverage choices, since I managed to steer clear of all alcohol, and stuck to coffee, water, and unsweetened iced tea (except for one glass of Kool-Aid).

I did not have high hopes going in.

Had an amusing incident while doing those one day in the park - the clapping push up with beach towel chase. Each time I did one, it would scoot the beach towel under me while I was in the air... I ditched the beach towel after that..... it was very very funny though.

*nodding*

I'm wondering if part of the improvement wasn't so much being better-conditioned this week than last, but a combination of doing it earlier in the day (at lunch, as opposed to after work), and not having anyone else around to provide distractions, even if only a few seconds' talk, between sets.

hmm probably a bit of both, really - its amazing what a little extra focus can do, and you probably have progressed a little as well - if nutrition and rest have been up to par.

This weekend, nutrition and rest were anything but. Maybe I was just a slack-ass motherfucker the first time out. Heh.

hmmm, I've also noticed that sometimes if I make up a new workout it is super hard the first time, and a lot easier the 2nd time - then I go and switch it up again..... btw, this afternoon we swung the 32k again and did good mornings with it as well - not too bad this go around!!

I still haven't found "spare" KBs on CL in Tampa. *mutters*
