For someone who studied Modern English Literature as much as I did in college, I'm more than mildly chagrined to have first heard this poem in... umm... G.I. Jane. Yes, Demi Moore was at her buffest and most bad-ass, but, dear ghod, Viggo Mortensen's poetry-quoting porn-stache... *shudder*

D.H. Lawrence.... regarded by some as one of the first "feminist" writers, even though I believe it is a man - tried reading a whole lot of it at some point
