After Hours:
- Kettlebell Clean & 5 Presses - 54# - 2x each arm
- Reverse Bicep Curls - 35# + 8# EZ-Bar - 1x10
- Kettlebell stretches - sides, back, pelvic girdle - 5 min
- Dumbbell Snatch - 65# (PR)* - 3x1 (each arm), 1x3 (each arm)
- Stationary Bike - 5 min
- Soccer (3 on 4) - 40 min

* I tried these after [livejournal.com profile] saansaansaan shared an article on heavy 1-handed dumbbell snatching; I honestly didn't think this would come as easily as it did, especially considering how much I've been struggling with the press portion of the clean and press with the 54# KB with my left arm.

the snatch is a completely different animal from a press, sure they both end up over your head, but thats pretty much all they (should) have in common. Not to mention that since you're doing it with a dumbbell its even easier than a kb - because you don't have to flip it over at the top.... not surprised it was relatively easy for you - I would be worried if it wasn't.

The C&P just really, really illustrates how much stronger my right arm is than my left. set of 5 with the left is about all I've got (might make 7); at 5, my right is still going strong. i blame breaking my collarbone in college, and it not healing properly, but, short of re-breaking it and extending the bone somehow, there's not much to be done about it.
